Welcome to Food & BEing-well!
In recent weeks, on four separate occasions, I have had friends ask if I could help them navigate a path to health through food. All these friends are suffering a list of symptoms as long as your arm; stomach bloating and pain, weight gain, brain fog, exhaustion, headaches, poor sleep, sore joints, skin issues, and feeling generally BLAH about life.
Certainly, our hectic lifestyles, being constantly ‘on’, multitasking and rushing from one responsibility to the next all plays a huge part in the epidemic of un-wellness. And, what and how we eat fuels our need to rush, and around in circles we go! 1.
The BEing Project- Food & BEing-well hopes that our combined experiences can shortcut the years of trial and error around food and help others to wellness. Food alone doesn’t hold all the answers; however, it is one of the cornerstones of a healthy body and mind.
At the BEing Project we focus on food that is real. Real ingredients, seeds, nuts, vegetables, meat and good fats; prepared and cooked with attention and love at home, to be shared with family and friends.
Food needs to appeal to all our senses; sight, smell, taste, touch, and the sound of people enjoying a meal, or a snack together. We aim for a plate full of colour, full of fresh food, raw or cooked to perfection, piled high with delicious vegies topped with a little fish or meat, and drizzled with dressings to die for!
